I was very interested in the Sig P238 after doing some exploring through reviews on youtube and the forums.
I then purchased this pistol for my concealed carry, and if meeting my and wife's personal needs I would purchase one for her as well.
I received my P238 a few days ago. (shown in the pictures further down)
Both me and my wife love the micro size, feel, look, and minimal recoil. However we noticed the hammer pull was very tight and has a nubby hammer which makes it more difficult to pull back when its got such a tight spring.
Certainly not expecting a full size 1911 hammer but would try to get a hammer that provides better ability to grip it.
MY QUESTIONS ARE:
1) Does anyone make a hammer spring which reduces the hammer pull and yet is still reliable with producing adequate hammer strikes?
(yes, I have seen spring kits in yt videos which show them reducing trigger pull but not sure if they are reducing hammer pull)
2) Does anyone make an extended hammer for the P238?
(the amount of extra material needed for an extended hammer isnt going to interfere with snagging on anything upon pulling it out of a pocket)
NOTE:
A) In all seriousness, it doesn't help the current issue by telling people should of bought another gun. We like this P238 and now wanting to make a couple improvements for our personal use of it.
B) The picture below shows the usable area of the hammer for the thumb to grip is barely 1/4"
