German P226 S value

I’m considering buying a P226 in stainless steel made in Germany in March 2014. Never been fired and I would be the second owner. They are asking $2200 for it and I’m having a very hard time finding any information on this gun. It does have all the German marks on it and everything that came with it new is included. Does anybody have any insight on the value of this gun?

@Fishredsw30, that price sounds a bit high for a used German P226 S even with original gear, but condition and market change it. Have you asked the seller how many rounds it’s actually fired, or if there are any marks/wear not in the pics?

He bought it new and I have that receipt. He paid about $2600 for it. He never shot it. It’s just the test shots on the target from the factory. Absolutely perfect as it came from the factory.

That extra context helps a lot. If it truly is unfired with the receipt and all factory items, $2200 isn’t crazy in today’s collector market, but it’s still more of a want-it piece than a value buy. If you’re buying it to keep long-term or collect German Sigs, it makes sense, but I’d still try to nudge the price down a bit.
